MOOYI’s New Zealand Trip: Deepening Strategic Cooperation and Exploring New Opportunities for Mutton
In mid-March 2026, early autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, a overseas team from MOOYI INTERNATIONAL HOLDING LIMITED, led by Executive Director Mr.Ou Yang and consisting of Ms.Lareina Lin, Head of the International Business Department, Ms.Rita Li, Sales Director, and Ms.Carrie Wang, a core sales member, traveled to New Zealand for a two-week in-depth visit to strategic partners.
The trip focused on three core cooperative factories – Taylor Preston, Greenlea and AFFCO. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on production capacity arrangement, market trends and cooperation in new product categories.
Taylor Preston

Renowned for its “small but sophisticated” approach, Taylor Preston has maintained a steady production capacity in beef cutting and refined trimming. Its products have won sustained recognition in the Chinese market in light of consistent quality control and differentiated product positioning. Its registered number in China is ME86. During this visit, the two sides reached a consensus to include the mutton category in the cooperation framework on the basis of consolidating the existing beef business, and jointly explore grass-fed mutton products that meet the demand of the Chinese market.
Greenlea
Founded over 80 years ago as a small beef shop in Gisborne, the company has now grown into a global beef exporter. Its two factories with registration numbers ME82 and ME124 have maintained a steady export to China for a long time.

The MOOYI team paid an on-site visit to TE AKAU Farm to learn about the natural grazing environment of Angus and Hereford cattle herds, and also toured the production line of ME124 Factory. The modern slaughter line and stringent hygiene control in the factory demonstrated Greenlea’s consistent high standards, and both the production line and quality control system left a deep impression.

During the talks, the two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as the changes in demand in major global export markets and the industry competition pattern, further strengthening the information sharing and coordination mechanism.
AFFCO

AFFCO is a renowned meat processing enterprise in New Zealand with a history spanning over a century. Its beef and lamb products are exported to more than 80 countries worldwide, and its affiliated factories include: ME23, ME32, ME39, ME42, ME47, ME56, SPM51, and SPM135.
As a long-standing partner deeply rooted in the Hong Kong market, AFFCO enjoys a profound brand influence. During this visit, both parties made arrangements regarding the recent slaughter scheduling and the post-2026 cooperation plan, and conducted preliminary discussions on cooperation opportunities for lamb products, which will further expand the scope of cooperation between the two sides in the Hong Kong market.
This trip to New Zealand, through factory inspections and face-to-face talks, enabled MOOYI and all partners to reach a number of consensuses on consolidating existing business and expanding new mutton categories, laying a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation in the follow-up.
